HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019  HSEE-2019 by IIT Madras – was held on the 21st of April in 2019. This write up is a basic HSEE-2019 – Analysis. The exam is conducted for admission to the 5 year integrated MA program offered by IIT Madras. Only 2 percent of students who write the exam get admission to the program. HSEE-2019 – Analysis :General overview

HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019 The computer based exam had two parts , part 1 contained the Aptitude test and Part II contained the written ability test.  HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019 There were 128 questions carrying 144 marks in the first part and 1 essay writing task of 30 marks in the 2nd part. The first part had a  time limit of 2.5 hours and the 2nd part had a time limit of o.5 hours or 30 minutes. Overall the test was moderate in its level of toughness. HSEE-2019 – Analysis: English and Comprehension Skill

HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019 This section was moderate in the level of difficulty, with an equal emphasis on grammar,  vocabulary and Comprehension. Analytical and Quantitative Ability

The general studies paper had 4 parts. There were no surprises here.   The four parts are

Under economy questions appeared from Money Banking and Finance, Forces of demand and Supply, Economic growth and development, etc. HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019 The questions related to Indian society and culture appeared from Indian history, Indian freedom struggle, art, constitution. In the world affairs section, questions appeared on Arab Israel conflict, Indo-China, Symbols, elections outside India, Human development report, types of governance systems, official languages of countries,   Indian constitution and terrorism. Under Ecology and Environment, questions appeared from  global warming, Extinct species, productivity, populations, pollution, ecology and environment movement, soil erosion, and ecological conventions.HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019

HSEE-2019 – Analysis: Overall Cutoff

The top  2 scores in the test in the year 2019 was 133 and 125 respectively. The institute offers admission to only those who score above 50 percent in the written test for the general category. For OBC candidates, the above percentage is 45 and for SC, ST and PwD categories the percentage is 25.HSEE ANALYSIS AND OVERVIEW 2019 The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination or HSEE is a national level entrance test conducted every year by Indian Institute of Technology Madras for admission to the master programme offered by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) of the institute.
